Are you interested in helping at Camp Chopemup or do you have something to donate?

2010 marks our third season operating a haunted hay ride. Each year the event continues to grow. Along with that growth we need more staff - lots more staff! This includes more actors (prior acting experience preferred but not required!); queue line entertainment which includes actors and story tellers; a make-up / hair stylist crew; security and traffic control; a support staff which includes a food service crew to prepare & serve coffee and other food and beverage items; vending and tickets sales; technical support during the event (sound, lighting and special effects, etc) and help setting up and breaking down the event.

In 2010 we'll also be looking for a crew food sponsor - a local restaurant or combination of restaurants to supply food to our crew on event nights. Of course we'll recognize you in our advertising throughout the season.

We also need a second tractor, trailer and operator for 2010 to facilitate moving more guests through the haunt.

Another need would be a storage container / trailer that could be donated and moved on site. This could be a large cargo container to store our haunt items as well as using it for a make-up / ready room during the event.

In the summer of 2010 we'll also be holding various workshops (like an acting workshop) and other work days where we build out the event in preparation for Halloween.

Currently the entire event is staffed on a volunteer basis, no compensation is given at all. We do provide all volunteers with food & beverage during the event and rehearsals as well as supply all other items needed to participate. All you need to do is commit to the event.

We'll be operating two or three nights in 2010. We're looking for each volunteer to commit to all nights of the event and at least 2 or 3 rehearsals/workshops. All participants should be at least 18 with reliable transportation.

Have something you'd like to donate? We are a community event and as such, are looking for certain items to be donated to our event.

In addition to the above items, we also need props, scenery and costumes that might be found in an old mining camp. Anything related would be appropriate. Think about a camp cemetery, general store, saloon, mining camp, mine shaft, old ghost town, etc.
